Vadorna is currently operated as a non-commercial project by a private individual (no company yet, no entry in the company register). Responsible for the content within the meaning of the ECG and the Media Act:
Vadorna is an open online reference archive for pre-owned luxury objects (handbags first; potentially further categories later) with community contributions, photo uploads, user profiles and discussions. The project is currently building out its database.
Purpose / basic direction pursuant to § 25 MedienG: providing an ad-free, community-maintained reference work on fashion and luxury objects. No commercial transactions are carried out at this time; the only commercial element is clearly-labelled affiliate links to third-party retailers.
It is intended to transfer the service to a GmbH (or comparable company) at a later point. On formation, the company name, register number, register court, seat, management and VAT ID will be added here. The transfer of the service and user accounts to the company is governed by the Terms of Service (section “Assignment & successor entities”).
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR (Art. 4(7)) is the person named above. Which data are processed, for which purpose, on what legal basis, how long they are stored and what rights you have are set out in the Privacy Policy and the GDPR section of the Terms.
Content and works on this site are subject to copyright. Structured textual data of the archive is, unless stated otherwise, provided under CC BY-SA 4.0 (see User content).
Photos used are either from users (their own shots, uploaded under the licence described in the Photo policy) or from freely-licensed sources (e.g. Wikimedia Commons) under the respective licences (CC BY, CC BY-SA, Public Domain) with attribution on each entry. If you believe a piece of content infringes your rights, please report it to contact@vadorna.com — we will review and remove unlawful content promptly.
Once Vadorna offers commercial features for consumers: the European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor, in principle, willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content under general law. For user-generated content the hosting-provider liability privilege applies (§ 16 ECG / Art. 6 Digital Services Act); details and the notice procedure are in the Host immunity & user-generated content section. External links are the sole responsibility of their operators; no unlawful content was apparent at the time of linking.
